Seattle Pioneer Square Engagement | Courtney + Cameron

You guys.  It's officially Spring!!!!!!  Living in Portland and shooting a lot in Seattle, I cannot express to you enough how ready I am for some sun in my life.  This has been a brutal winter for many of us pacific north westerners; we're over it.  

All that being said though, I definitely didn't hate this particular rainy day in Seattle.. Courtney + Cameron had originally planned on an earthy Discovery Park session, but when the forecast wouldn't budge from 100% rain, we decided on a little studio sesh instead.  

I honestly love these homey sessions and these two were so sweet all cuddled up together.  We ended up running around Pioneer Square in the rain for a bit afterward because, well, Seattle.... and it gave the perfect little contrast to the studio vibe.  

I love how different these images will be from their Bellingham photos this summer and couldn't be more excited to shoot their wedding in my fave city!

Snoqualmie Maternity Photographer | Jaclyn + Doug

If you're in the Seattle area, you know the amazing weather we've been having and this last weekend was the first time this year that I was able to take full advantage of those golden hours before sunset.  And to sweeten the deal - I spent it with two great friends.  Have I mentioned that I love working with friends because I get to be SUPER bossy without worrying if I'm being annoying?  Well it's one of the best things ever and one reason I really like to get to know my clients in general.  The more I'm comfortably myself and silly and weird, the more creative fun we can have. J+D are due with their first babe in May and I honestly get emotional whenever I talk to them about it... maybe it's because I'm an emo mom, but it's also because Jaclyn is just so gorgeous and Doug is just so sweet and I know they are going to be the best parents.  I'm positive that little girl is already swimming around in there feeling SO loved and cherished and I can't wait to see these two in action once she arrives.
