Orcas Island Wedding | Katie + Tony

Tony and Katie brought everyone together to celebrate their wedding at Rosario Resort on Orcas Island and it could not have been more beautiful.  You could tell what a special spot the island was to both the bride and groom, as well as family around them.   The love, the laughter, the history; Katie and Tony had it all.  From everyone crying at their wedding vows, to the heart-filled toasts at their reception, this couple had me wrapped up in their story from the beginning.

The two have already navigated so much life together and know each other so deeply, that you can't help to be awe of what they've built.  Stories of adventure and growth between them brought me to tears more than once during the day, and I left the reception wanting more.   Both Tony and Katie were the epitome of gracious hosts, not only toward their loved ones, but those working around them as well.

And talk about loved-ones... the friends and family surrounding them on their wedding day were so obviously joyful to be witnessing such a love.  My face hurt from smiling at the dancing, hugs in between and the sincere touches between other couples celebrating marriage and love.  It was an amazing day and one that I'm so very honored to be a part of.

Phoenix Engagement Photography | Maddie + Justin | The Wrigley Mansion

A couple weeks ago my family went on a little vacay to Scottsdale.  I'd never been to Arizona before but knew right away that I wanted to book a session or two while visiting.

Maddie + Justin reached out needing a few engagement images so we put something on the books and met up at the Wrigley Mansion in Phoenix.  To be honest, I was a little hesitant to shoot indoors at all while in the gorgeous weather, but Maddie's intuition was spot on.  The mansion is amazingly beautiful and chic.. not what I was expecting (even from the website's images).  Every room was different and there were windows everywhere.  The floral wallpaper.. COME ON.  I could've shot there all day...

When sun began to lower a bit, we ventured outside and caught that desert light I'm obsessed with.  The neutral tones coupled with this gorgeous and fun couple made it hard to put an end to the session.  These two had the best attitude and perfect balance of playfulness + passion.  I'm so thankful that they chose me to help them celebrate their engagement - thanks M+J!
